67. iForgot, so iDoreen steps in (2026 annual monitoring)
A Doreen the Breast Cancer Mascot post! 
This is the first year that I’ve been “upgraded” (or is it “downgraded”?) from every-six-months to annual breast cancer monitoring. Tests are done, just need to see the oncologist soon for the official medical blessing!
A spoiler alert that you will welcome: pertinent imaging and blood work are OK. Hooray!
Bonus: as of today I’ve officially lost 10 kg (22 lbs) which helps lower the risk of recurrence. Right now there’s less body fat that can potentially be a source for estrogen… recall the tumor was estrogen-receptor positive (ER+), meaning cancer cells can be encouraged to grow if exposed to estrogen.
