Curtains Up: Introduction to Performing Arts Medicine

This is a belated post about the recent webinar from the Performing Arts Medicine Association Young Professionals Committee, in which Dr. Mark Seton and I presented the basics of Performing Arts Medicine. From the PAMA. I was going to blog about it sooner, but life got in the way!

From the PAMA website:
Let’s start at the very beginning, a very good place to start! Join Dr. Jennifer Yang and Dr. Mark Seton as they give an overview and essential insights into this field from a physiatry and theater perspective, respectively. This is a wonderful opportunity for new PAMA members to gain an introduction to the breadth of performing arts medicine!

Many thanks to Dr. Hye-Jin Yun for moderating. She is headed to Stanford University for a Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (physiatry) residency by mid-2022, and I am proud to have her as a colleague and friend.

I was afraid that the internet connection wouldn’t hold up, since the time coincided with a 9-year old’s online schooling at home – so I recorded my part of the webinar called “The 5 W’s and 1 H of Performing Arts Medicine”. The 12-minute video is available here.
